  • Does anyone know if there is any airworthy B-26? It's such an awesome aircraft! Thanks for posting.

  • @billace90

Kermit Weeks in FL (Fantasy of Flight Museum) owns a B-26 that was airborne last time about 1998-99. At present this is the last flying B-26 Marauder.

Ongoing restoring project here at MAPS museum in Ohio.

  • is it england ? if so thats boreham cant remember the station number .looks like a yellow tailfin stripe tho

  • At least one of the a/c seen has D-Day stripes. 394th BG moved to Station No 455 Holmsley South in July 1944 from Station No 161 Boreham. Some tents with smoke pipes also seen. They used tents at Holmsley South at least.

  • The vegetation along runway looks like the one seen on photos from A-13 Tour-en-Bessin in France (from September 1944).

  • WTF is w/ the hideous music???

  • The video clips were made around 1994-95 by Veteran Marauder Man Ray Burdge. I will assume that the music reflects both availability and personal taste. As he documented some scenes from WWII in 16 mm color film Mr. Burdge did something quite unusual, as color film was very scarce during WWII. You may have ssen the TV-series "WWII in color"....

  • I read somewhere the B26 was the least lost in percentage in WWII.

  • @billace90

The last flying Martin B-26 Marauder crashed 10 or 15 years back at an air show. It may be the same one referenced by billace90. There was significant damage to the nose and other parts.

  • Thanks for your efforts to load this footage up on YouTube. I wish more movie makers of the last 50 or 60 years would make this step to digitalize their footage of the past and load it up here.

    Thumbs up!

  • sounds like music from a 70's porn movie lol

  • Ridiculous music.
