-
@pastirot that's just silly.
-
@LIbertyorDeath419 Lee did'nt adapt anything. Those concepts have been stock in trade in the martial arts since who knows when.

@LIbertyorDeath419 Settle down, Francis.

@flemmy sure

@madzane94 says some guy who doesn't watch mma.

Lee's Intercepting fist has as it's basic tenets, Preemption, Disruption, Dislocation, which is the same as the German's combined arms blitzkrieg and the Mongol's Archer cavalry style of recon pull for waging maneuver warfare. Lee adapted those concepts for martial arts.
-
Moral of the story. Lee was an excellent empty handed fighter with an awesome training philosophy which enhanced his physical fitness and skills but it can be adapted to irregular warfare and combat.

My JKD adaptations. You come after me with superior size I am slicing your belly open and as you try to stuff your intestines back in, I'm slicing your carotid and watch you bleed out. If you try to pull a weapon I'm moving off the line of attack and drawing a sidearm to blast you full of holes. If faced with superior numbers and I have sufficient warning, I am finding a defilade from where I can snipe each of you. If faced with same unexpectedly, I am opting for my AK
mma and street fighting is nothing like kung fu... Mma isn't even an art... Its bear huggjng and wild swinging
