@smorkaka Yeah, Swedes are closely related to Icelanders. However, Icelandic is almost Old Norse due to the isolation for centuries.

@600euros Icelandic has a different 'R' than Spanish, is why. It is more elegant! ^^ Though it is not just whispered, it is slightly different in the mouth, as well. I think it is similar to the 'R' used in Flemish, where I come from! :)

I really love the icelandic language its very cool sounding in my mind and i especially love your cool letters like ð & þ .

I believe the Icelandic ð is pronounced like the English voiced 'th', as in 'the', and þ is an unvoiced 'th', as in 'think'.
I love languages and I'd love to learn Icelandic one day. Who knows, maybe I'll even have the opportunity to practice it with Björk. ;-)
