Sega Classics Collection Part 8 - Columns (PS2)

Sorry, I always think about that when ever I hear the word Columns. To be perfectly honest I have never played the original arcade or any version of this game for that matter. This is my first time playing this game and it will certainly be the last time. I don't believe it has to do with anything about the game itself. I have always been a Tetris fan myself. This game is way harder than Tetris as it cranks up the speed rather drastically after only one round. By the third round I was just getting lucky. It gives you no time to ease in at all. Typical of arcades. In the first part of this capture I show the new version which seems to have some 3D flare and then the original which is claimed by the game to be enhanced from the original arcade in some way. I looked up a video of the arcade on You Tube and found that it looks like it was more of a downgrade in terms of music. The music in the classic mode of this remake seems much more boring and monotonous. I really didn't care to do much research on the original arcade simply because I dislike this game. From what I can tell, it's Columns.....and......uh....yeah it's Columns.

The music in the 3D-AGES remake is the same as in Columns '97 (which was part of the Columns Arcade Collection in the Saturn Ages series).
