Well, our good luck finally ended. What looked like a perfect day in Plett soon turned into a windy, rainy mess. We managed to last until about 12am, ignoring the wind and having fun anyway, but when the clouds came over and everyone was forced to leave the beach, we had to give up and move on.
Despite the weather, the surf school went brilliantly. The waves were perfect for learning and the girls were getting it in no time. Some of the girls even managed to ride the face of the wave on a few occasions, which is quite an achievement.
We did have to leave early though, which was disappointing, but not too bad. Everyone was feeling pretty tired after the Surfer Girl fashion show, so getting to Vic Bay earlier than expected was quite a good thing. We managed to get a surf in, relax by the pool and get some food for the braai. It was Leanne was Seventeen magazines birthday, so a little pool party and braai was definitely in the cards.
Today, we are in Vic bay and what a beautiful day it is. We are all off to the beach now for a surf and then chilling out and regaining our energy for Mossel bay tomorrow, which, if you have been to Dias Beach over December, you will know is jam packed!
