Famu gets more shine than su on any day of the week.

More ppl have looked at this Meac/Swac challenge then your Bayou Classic.

Which means no one looks at yall unless Famu is coming.Dont feel bad it happens to a lot of other teams too..

I wont even mention the GCC....so sad...

I saw four HBCU bands that weekend, and this halftime show came in third! So not expected! I went to the game expecting something! I was all like "oooo! I get to see FAMU!" But I left saying "OOOOO! I saw SOUTHERN!

southern was more exciting, but good show FAMU. its only but so much you can do with a band that size

i marched this passed yr at famu....i know a lot about dci....i was just tellin this fool that he doesnt know anything cuz "su" being sounding the same for 30yrs now and its gettin really old....and famu havent marched 20's since the 80's....they just went to 18's a couple yrs ago....but thats good u marched in a drum corps....im lookin to try out for the BD in about 2yrs

DCI is impressive & you have to be able to play to make it becasue you start at age 16 in the corps. Playing in the 100 ain't no joke either we have a mixture of backgrounds so it blends well we can do both in the 100 it doesn't matter we are not one demensional SU is good I like them but sound wise technique harmony etc.... no comparison but their is no hate at all I love the competition we have just need to realise it is 2 different styles. But our percussion section is one of the best ever

Let me just help the both of you I marched in to 2 different drum corps Spirit of Atlanta before the folded & then Imarched snare in the Caveliers when we won DCI with a 100 on the percussion score I also marched in the 100 from 91-95 snare & bass drum FAMU does have 20's most people do not try because it is very physical we 12 cymbals in 92 starting at that range on down & 8 the following year. SU can't stand up to the 100 put us toe to toe & you will find out

@dickie504 first of all ur from new orleans FAIL! 2nd u march in "su" drumline COMPLETE FAILURE!!!!!3rd yall play the same mess over an over again and its not workin....so i was say yall need to upgrade yall chops to some DCI material....like i said FAMU is updated....except the (cymbal sizes 18's)and plus famu cymbals cant do half the stuff they do if they use 20's....everything they do is a snap movement "su" dont know that cuz they look like monkeys when they twirlin....enough said

Man im from New Orleans, this is a WHOLE different ball game when it comes to percussion -especially snare-. Niggas always quick to talk about dat DCI shit but that don't impress nobody who actually marched in it lmao
