  • Thank you for the upload, but why did you cut out the steam procession?

  • @SteamFan42 there was piece of copyrighted music playing during the steam procession and youtube would not let me upload it.

  • Tremendous. On the spur of the moment while on leave a few months ago I went on a nostalgic journey back to York and was thrilled to see that the National Railway Museum remains the best museum in Britain - in one of our greatest cities. In fact, if anything since I went there last (in 1982 on a school trip - aged 11!), it's even better. Magic.

I'm afraid it was City of Truo that did it in 1904!

  • @ludocrat. I wish they keep the ECML and WCML in the 80's condition.

  • Is it me but when the Flying Scotsman and the Stanier Black 5 And also the HST parts are on the music is fantastic and suits the particular trains

  • 31.52 anyone know where that is?

  • thanks for the upload mate

iam loving the bit with the HSTs what Beasts !

    Cheers

  • What happened in the UK with the railways is kinda happening in my country. Lines are closed almost every year now, the bad thing is that here there are now railway fans with money to buy what is destroyed :(!

  • 6:27 sexy :P!

Well, my memory's not great from 30 years ago, but I remember that the main area at least was pretty much the same. There are quite a few new exhibits as you'd expect (the Eurostar and Bullet trains for instance) and an amazing steam engine that's been cut in half to show the inner workings which I don't recall from before. Also, there's a great restaurant in another shed now. Basically, it looks a like a lot of investment has gone into it over the years. It's just fantastic!

  • @ludocrat - had it changed much since 1982? I went there last year and it looked identical to Michael's visit in 1980.
