What is your source for your claim that this documentary has been banned by the US government?

It is repeatedly kicked off google video. It has been repeatedly been removed for over a year now. every new upload is removed within days. recently someoen uploaded it in 3 parts, its been up for a record length of 2 months

According to Wikipedia it originally aired on BBC 11 March, 2007. Nevertheless, I currently have The Power of Nightmares in my rental queue on Netflix. Surely that doc is more threatening than this, no?

I swear I remember seeing it WAY before March 2007. All I know is, whenever I went to view it - part 3 kept being knocked off. Notice how "Power Of N" is at an "unknown" status on Netflix. As has "the Revolution will not be Televised" been an unknown for over a year. It will NEVER EVER be made available. You can bet on that.

Hungary proved that a people would choose safety over liberty. The only trouble is when the danger is artificially created. (the soviets created the danger in order to create the soviet 'tyrrany of liberty'.)

America has then supported this idea by again choosing safety over freedom. The Cheney propaganda tour must be shown for what it is-- . If ever there was a mad tyrant, he surely is it.

Adam Curtis is brilliant in his set-up of political thought applied to social dynamics. In this, Berlin's premises seem flawed right from the start, though a simple dichotomy is always a simplistically effective, divisive, political tactic. His construct of – vs + liberty doesn't follow a parallelism. What he calls + liberty is totalitarianism, common to revolutions (or other strife) that leave a power vacuum, whereas –liberty can be a trend of policies onto a relatively stable society.

Agreed. The "numbers" speak accurately to how many people are aware of videos such as this. 8,702 views verses millions of views for all of the useless other videos on the internet. In my city especially, it seems as though most people are so complacent with their lives, it borders on sedation.

And in England, there's a documentary where one woman describes the clamp down on civil liberty after the 7/7 attacks, and the constant presence of militarized police and big brother cameras on every corner as "you have to give up some liberties for more freedom."

Which is classic Orwellian double think.

They say they know what's best for society, as if they even know. Pinheads like Cheney want you to forget that the American equation is the individual + the Constitution.
