Video of the Double Loop at Geauga Lake with permission from a nice ride operator a few years ago. I am only posting this now as the coaster is now SBNO. The Double Loop was built by Arrow in 1977. It was the first consecutive looping coaster ever built. It is a fun ride and I will miss riding this coaster.

  • Its still standing.

  • @webkinzluver1721 No it has been gone for some time now like 2 years. It was sold for scrap metal and is now a distant memory.

  • @idoraparkbill i was just there. i saw it from across the lake.

  • @webkinzluver1721 No you must have been seeing something else. This coaster went for scrap. The trains are being stored at Cedar Point. The only partial coasters still standing on the former ride side of Geauga Lake, are Raging Wolf Bobs and The Big Dipper. Thats all.

  • @idoraparkbill I double check but pretty sure this went to India. I'll do some looking.

  • @kac65 No this was scrapped I had seen photos of it in the scrap yard. The Geauga Lake Corkscrew went to India a long time ago.

  • The Corkscrew, Double Loop, Raging Wolf Bobs and The Big Dipper are all classics. I would even include Mind Eraser and Serial Thriller in that group also because they were built before the park was sold multiple times. The new coasters Six Flags built were awesome but there were too many coasters on top of eachother. Space was limited on the Geauga Lake side and the Sea World side was not utilized enough for rides. This caused areas of the park to become congested with geusts.

  • this ride sucked thank god they scrapped it!!!

This ride looks similar to lockness monster at bush gardens.

That coaster is good. This coaster sucked period.

    thank god it is gone.

  • this was my first steel coaster and upside down coaster haha i loved it!

  • I hate it these coasters were scrapped! This one though does not hurt me like the scrapping of the villain. My oldest daughter and I loved that ride. This double loop was cool but since we rode the cork screw at Cedar Point every year it was not that big a thrill. I do remember that the brakes at the end of this ride about gave you whip lash. Painful if you were not ready for it.
