Unfortunately, Colgate Palmolive couldn't compete with Proctor & Gamble, and sold off their laundry detergent business around the world (except for Austrailia). In the USA & Canada, they sold it off to Phoenix Brands, and noticed that Dynamo, Fab, & Ajax (USA brands) don't clean the same, and are no longer low sudsing. Their HE version is also too sudsy for my front loader.
Too bad Colgate can't get a fresh start on Fresh Start--they haven't made laundry detergents for some five years now! Fresh Start was actually ahead of its time--probably the first of what we now call Ultra 2 detergents...
A clear bottle was probably used to keep people worried the detergent might run out too soon.
