Earthquakes: sudden shift in the Tectonic Plates
Volcano: The submerging of a plate causes that plate to turn into magma which finds its way to the surface through cracks in the other tectonic plate that it is going under.
Mountains: When two tectonic plates collide, they can be forced together and fold over one another and form mountains.
The sea floor isn't spreading, it is being produced, as it is being destroyed.
They are all related by the formation of the Earth.

The Earth's outer and inner core are almost the same volume as Mars.

I'm willing to accept that the moons gravity MAY have some small effect, but to then rule out tectonics entirely from earthquake prediction seems a little silly.

yet now they say earth was hit by a planet called Thea, and that hit the earth.... and whats left of thea ? A) the moon
