tienes razón, opino lo mismo.

@MariaAntoinetteF although Handel's semele is not an opera, in the new scene versions use a mirror in this aria because the text talks about semele and one mirror that Juno gave her so semele's ego get increase

prefiero la versión de annick massis, battle tiene una voz increible pero esta versión no me agrada, no está articulada :S

@MariaAntoinetteF - Tell Carolyn Sampson, she is also in concert singing with a mirror, acting outing the song with facial expressions and body language too. I guess they could simply stand still , but since it is a piece from an opera why not act it out a bit. But what do they know their just stars, MA the youtube commenter is an internet expert who of course knows more.

@yoyo20081. Perfect name for an idiot. Props are used for opera...not concerts bone head.
-
@MariaAntoinetteF Wow your either your joking or dumb the mirror is apart of the performance.
-
@classictomatosoup Cecilia Bartoli's facial contortions are even worse.

Beautiful voice, I just can't get past all the facial contortions! I'm a big Battle fan, but I really prefer to listen rather than watch... :)

Lovely and perfect!!

I think her beauty really stands out.

Here's my analysis. Beautiful woman in a beautiful dress singing a beautiful song beautifully. Had she cleared her throat in the middle of the performance it would still be beautiful. What ever happened to enjoying the music?

The shape and tension of her mouth allow her to finely tuning the sound and pitch. If her throat were tense, her sound would be tense, her notes would not vibrate. They would sound dry and flat and without the full body she gives it.
