Ahwatukee Orthodontist Collects Backpacks in Phoenix for Frank Elementary School in Guadalupe AZ

http://www.bracedoc.com Phoenix orthodontist Dr Joe Pearson in Ahwatukee Foothills AZ organized a backpack drive to help needy kids at Frank Elementary School in Guadalupe AZ. Employee Lisa Ablin discovered that 98% of students that attend Frank Elementary School do not have all the school supplies they need the first day of school. She organized a community effort, with the help of Pearson Orthodontics, to collect used backpacks to donate to the school for the coming school year.

Channel 5 news heard about her efforts and donated an additional $500 as part of their weekly "Pay It Forward" program in the Phoenix area for much needed school supplies at Frank Elementary in Guadalupe. Patients of Dr Joe Pearson were asked to drop off their used backpacks at their office in Phoenix along with members of the Ahwatukee Community to support their efforts. Hundreds of backpacks were collected to help students at the school start off the new year right.
