This is my first time ever watching The Shag. In fact, I just found out bout 15 minutes ago what "Beach Music" is after all these years. I just read the expression in a novel I've been reading by an author who, I believe lives in South Carolina. I thought the dance was great!  What fun. Just wish I could to it. Thanks for posting.

Ugghh. Disappointing. You know there's a song playing in the background, right? Maybe dance to that. If this had hit ANY of the music in the song, it might have been the coolest thing ever. Instead it was just a progression of pre-rehearsed footwork, with hardly any lead/follow. If this is a great example of Shag, then Shag needs some musicality. Maybe that's the westie in me talking. I'm gonna go back to watching Michael and Brennar and feel better about this dance.
