We announce the addition of the complete audio edition of J. Gresham Machen's classic "Christianity and Liberalism" to our website, ReformedAudio.org. This was Machen's famous critique on the theological liberalism that had infiltrated the Presbyterian Church, USA, and the premier orthodox seminary, Princeton Theological Seminary. Machen shows compellingly that Biblical Christianity and theological liberalism are two completely different religions, and that for each of the fundamental doctrines of Christianity, liberalism substitutes an antithetical opposite. Far from being honest about their departure from Christianity, the liberal ministers in the PCUSA had all falsely sworn subscription to the Westminster Confession of Faith, the most rigorous and comprehensive creed in the history of the Christian church. The result of this deception was that the liberals eventually achieved the capture of both the seminary and the denomination. Machen was defrocked for his defense of the faith, and left with a tiny remnant to form the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. This book is his theological manifesto.
We have been studying Machen's book in adult Sunday school and I pray that it has opened up many eyes for this is a very important book that sadly is applicable to today's 'church'. When we start calling evil good, we have stepped away from the Word of God and fellowship with Him.
Amos 8:11
Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord GOD,
“When I will send a famine on the land,
Not a famine for bread or a thirst for water,
But rather (A)for hearing the words of the LORD

@mattsplace85 There comes a time when it's time to leave a 'church' - especially when it goes against the Word of God. ~~~
Revelation 18:4,5 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come forth, my people, out of her, THAT YOU HAVE NO FELLOWSHIP WITH HER SINS, and that ye receive not of her plagues: 5 for her sins have reached even unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

I think you are mistaken about the PC(USA). You lump all PC(USA) members in as non-Christian. That is dishonest!! As a PC(USA) member and CHRISTIAN, i do not appreciate having my church, and indeed my personal faith attacked in this manner. If you wish to discuss the actual issues, that is fine. However, do not judge me.

I visited your website and listened to the first few chapters of the Machen book, and was very impressed with both the content and the reading. Thank you for taking the time to upload this and so many other classic reformed works.
