Coraline is one of those special movies that captures the attention of the audience. I'll definitely have my children watch this In years to come, they'll love It!

@sihinta: They take individual film frames of miniature posable figures, and slightly move the appendages of each figure, an arm or leg, per every frame taken by the camera. 24 frames will give a filmmaker 1 second of film, and will give the illusion that the figure is moving, walking, talking, opening their mouth, or eyes, or moving their head, etc. This is called stop-motion. For this movie, they shot the film with two cameras, which are closely aligned, but somewhat off, creating 3D.

some say Avatar is the best movie ever. but I have Avatar on dvd and I don't even feel like watching it, in the other hand Coraline I love it, I like ot watch it over and over and over, it has like a spiritual thing that makes me think I'm inside the movie, is one of the best ever in my own opinion.

"Your mommy may not be perfect, but she's the perfect mommy for you." "I agree, that's the message!" Christ, these people are dumb. Do they completely miss the deeper resonance of the two mothers and what they represent psychologically for a young girl on the brink of adulthood? Have they never read a fairy tale before? I CAN'T TAKE IT, I REALLY CAN'T.
