My Girl Back Home - Bill Lee & Mitzi Gaynor (from "South Pacific")

Yet another one of my favorite songs from R&H's "South Pacific". "My Girl Back Home" is a piece in which Lt. Cable (played in the movie by John Kerr) reminisces about his sweetheart back home, while also longing for the life he had to leave behind. Nellie Forbush (played by Mitzi Gaynor) listens to Lt. Cable and towards the end of the song joins in on her friend's hungering for home. John Kerr was dubbed by Bill Lee, who lent his voice to many other films, including "The Sound of Music" in which he was the voice of Captain von Trapp.

@miccohelati Yes, that is Bill Lee singing. He sang for quite a few actors in various movies. He did the singing for Captain von Trapp in "The Sound of Music", as well as Caleb Pontipee in "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers". He was usually uncredited, however, so that is why you probably are not familiar with his name. You're very welcome! Thanks for commenting.
