  • Meraviglia delle meraviglie la voce fantastica

della Price, una grande cantante Pucciniana.

    Il tenore discreto,ma lei fenomenale.

    Grazie del video

  • Onegin65 thanks for this treasure. Why did you not post the remainder of the duet? It is surely on of Puccini's most memorable tunes!

    Brava Leontyne!

  • The splendor of a magnificient voice in the context of one of the most beautiful operas written in history... Thanks for this gift!

  • I wish this live recording were available. Leontyne's voice/sound is a force of nature.

  • Exceptional singing! Thank you Oneguin65 for the posting!

  • Sorry but the note is not pianissimo. Sounds very much forte to me. Maybe not Birgit Nilsson's forte but forte nonetheless.

  • I agree, Leontyne Price has a magnificent high C, but in "Pace, pace mio Dio" it doesn't high C, it's a high B-flat

  • what is more, she is not trying to sing a pianissimo high C...

I hear a pure and easy forte!

  • I do share your enthusiasm for this great singer...

Allow me to share a small piece of information: there in no high C in "Pace, pace"...

  • I agree that I wish you had posted the entire duet here. You ended it just as the most impassioned section was to begin, leaving us wanting more! Can you share how one might obtain a copy of this 11/26/71 SFO broadcast? It was the last of 4 performances and the only one to be broadcast. The CD with Domingo and Milnes is also quite excellent, but there's nothing quite like the excitement of knowing one's listening to a live performance.

  • fantastica,meravigliosa,incantevole....i love you

  • Du feu et du velours ! C'est simplement leontynesque ! Merci !
