Craig Ferguson on Circumcision

Craig Ferguson interviews Dr. Lisa Masterson from The Doctors and circumcisions is discussed. As a Doula and aspiring Midwife (and a HUGE Craig Ferguson fan) I was so thrilled to see this little commentary on circumcision. He has been pretty candid about himself being uncircumcised, that being the norm in Scotland. I think he makes excellent points.

Would I be within my rights to inflict identical injuries on my kids of the sake of having a Mini-Me? Besides the boy's mother, siblings, the paternal grandparents, and maybe the paternal aunt and uncles, who the hell is ever going to see the penis of both a father and his son? @mine213 She also ignored the policy statements by both the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics which have both stated that non-theraputic infant circumcision is not recomended or is not medically indicated.

Masterson is a poor role model for women seeking a career in medicine. Just because she has a degree in medicine does not mean that she does not promote her own beliefs and seek additional profits from circumcision.

in the 50's female circumcision was also used on newborn girls...for the EXACT same reasons, in america too. Funny how thats outlawed but mgm remains, along with all the BS reasons why its 'benificial'. even tho there is NO evidence that it is. fucking retarded people who hack off perfectly healthy body parts then forge bs reasons for it, its absolutely mind numbingly non sensicle
