a brand new 2012 Kia Sorento got struck by lighting amongs more than 100 cars prked. 2 main computers that control engine & transmission got burned out & totally fried. it's been 2 months, still sitting at Kia-Tenafly dealer(NJ) service ceter, no estimation, no dignosis, no repair...nothing!!! should Kia motors take a car back and study what could be possibly wrong in grounding system resulting being totally fried, instead of just waiting for a Insurance to cover it...now Kia said, no warranty, and no parts until 10/21? who knows if it will postponed again?

  • Awful scenes they are... can't totally understand how come the car does not protect the car itself from lightening that as far as I know all cars must be equiped all the safety feasures from this kinda incident. Manufacturer, Kia must explain on its serious defectiveness.

  • my favorite car dealer company is kia. I'm thinking about next new car was sorento,

what can I do !!! I wish kia has to responsibility of like this probllem.

  • ohhhh... my god!! kia has big problem!!!!

  • I'm really disppointed with Kia dealer's customer service. I like korean auto maker such as Hyundai and Kia because they know what customers want. and I am considering buying a new car form Kia. I belive that this is not an example showing where Kia dealer's customer servis is heading to.

  • OMG this must be so frustrating... How come the dealer doesn't even run a dignostic? Is it because of "no power"??? Even so, they need to get a part or parts to at least fix the power for testing. Clearly KIA and the dealer need to understand the impact of an unhappy customer.
