This is a music video put together by a good friend of mine who has found a lot of peace by praying in the presence of Christ in the Eucharist. The singer is Kitty Cleveland from New Orleans (http://www.kittycleveland.com) who is another good friend of mine. You can order this song on her CD from her website.

The composer of the song is Michael Philip Ward. I don't know him, but I love his song. It's about the disciples on the road to Emmaus, and how they recognized Jesus in the "breaking of the bread" (Luke 24:13-35). The images call to mind the specific teachings of Christ on the Holy Eucharist (Mt. 26:26-28, John 6) that were taught by his followers (1 Cor. 11:23-2), and have been practiced by the Catholic Church for nearly 2,000 years. This belief in the "Real Presence of Christ" and seeing Christ in the Eucharist (http://www.therealpresence.org) can be summed up in the simple verse from the end of Luke's Gospel: "Then the two recounted ... how [Jesus] was made known to them in the breaking of the bread." (Luke 24:35). If you've never spent time praying before the Eucharist, you're missing the most important thing that Christ left us: the gift of Himself, Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity.

Here's a recent message (5/10/2010) from my friend, Kitty:
Thanks for all of the kind comments everyone! This song is on my CD "The Miracle of Divine Mercy." I'm sorry it isn't available on itunes, but they won't take partial CDs. That just doesn't work for this particular CD, which has a sung Divine Mercy chaplet, my testimony, and just two songs. If you're interested in the CD, you can get it on my website at www.kittycleveland.com/site/index. I'm happy to sign it for you if you let me know. Of all my CD's, this song is my favorite to sing! God bless you, Kitty Cleveland

  • I love this song. I used to be in a choir led by Michael Ward, the composer -- it was the best church music program I've ever been part of, partly because of all the great music he wrote for us to sing.

  • Beautiful

  • A hymn "from the heart"! Very moving - it says it all really! Thanks & God bless
