Due to the necessary darkness, it is recommended that you view full screen.

This is the proof-of-concept version of my latest project: "Prelude of the Chambered - Redstone Edition".

It uses a 21x21 pixel screen to display a simple 3D environment based on Notch's Ludum Dare game. The player can walk around the environment, turn in 90 degree increments, and break damaged walls.

Future versions will incorporate many additional features such as a larger game environement, automatic occlusion culling, collectable items, and more.

As with my ASCII Word Processor, I will be doing an explanation video for this device soon.

In the meantime, you can download the world save and play it for yourself here:

There is also a Planet Minecraft thread that could use some attention:

And a Minecraftforum thread here:

  • lol i was playing this at your plot when u were offline xD

  • @mikeantostv1 Nice XD It doesn't run nearly as fast on the server. Also, if more than 2-3 people are nearby, it tends to lag-kick people.

  • what does happen if you press the wrong button?

i mean when you faces a wall and press forward?

    yeah just thinking...

  • @N1ccK123 What you would expect to happen: nothing

  • @BerickCook That's to easy!!!

  • @N1ccK123 I suppose I could make lava dump all over you if you accidentally bump into a wall, but somehow that seems a bit cruel

  • I appreciate all the "small blocks" suggestions, and being able to make a higher resolution screen with them would be a huge help, but until I can use a tool like WorldEdit to copy and paste things, there's no way I would spend the insane amount of time needed to build this thing block by block.
