How did you managed to use the caps of the cube as another desktop? In gnome i only can use the 4 lateral sides, caps are only for decoration. Is this some kde feature? Thanks
animaulet 6 months ago
@animaulet sorry, haven't been here for long.
KDE can operate with many desktops. The "cube" with more than 4 sides rotates in different directions. We could not say which sides are lateral and which are caps. Algorithm is simple - workspace has rows & columns with desktops, but angle between 2 neighbour sides is 90 degrees always. It has no real-life possibility to imagine this space in 3D. So, on a screen the workspace could not only be visualised as a cube, but also as hexagon or so.

Happy birthday, Debian!

nah.. debian uses only old software, that can be bad sometimes.

@martmelee this video made 9 months ago, now 'sid' branch goes with kde 4.6.4.
If you want to use newer version of some particular software and it's absent in 'testing' or 'sid', you can build the latest version from sources.
