We pick up our best friends and head into New Orleans for a night of drinking and debauchery at Southern Decadence. Then to a Barbeque at the home of a couple of new friends the next day.
My wallet and hat were stolen Saturday night. It still makes me sick to my stomache that someone would prey on people submitting to a moment of passion with someone they love. But I guess it's the world we live in... Lesson learned... next year, my wallet stays at home.
Oh I could never stay away from NOLA. Well, at least until my best friends move, then i may not go as often. I grew up in the Thibodaux/Houma area, so I have strong ties to the area, and it remains one of my favorite places in the world. It sucks that that happened, but it was partially my fault for forgetting the NOLA clubs are not as safe as the Houston clubs.

It's a wonderful city but unfortunately it is also a very poor city and with that comes desperate people.I tell my friends I bring to decadence, halloween etc to leave their wallet at home, take cabs, stay together and keep id and cash only.people think i am crazy but it is true.the cruisy bars have a history of that happening in EVERY city even the eagle in ny had a "hold onto your wallet" sign.please come back to nola anyway!we love nola and nola loves you!
