That was the scene I remember and have been looking for! I'm glad I didn't imagine it. But I remember it as being more like a smoking crater than a pond, and it still looks that way to me.
Is it a UFO? Will aliens try to steal the Phoenix Mirror? I need to know!

I remember this being broadcast live online as a streaming video. But as it was 1998, most people were still on dial-up, so that's about as good as the quality could be.

shenmue directors cut wouldnt cost much to make and sales would be higher than just a re release maybe high enough to justify makeing a 3rd game
