@MrFreako2010 Yeah, that keyboardist and drummer are outstanding, and their bass player is very good too

Damn I wish I could see them finish that song on the original footage. I'll bet they rocked it on for a good bit after the show ended anyway.

I agree completely with that. It reminds me a little of Double Trouble also. Overlooked by the genius of the main man & not quite getting the credit they deserve.

Simply one of the best. KSHE radio brought him to the ambassodor in St.Louis as a warm up for Foghat. I am 63 and still love his music as much as ever.

@masonking12000 Glad to say they all went on to do great things

Sweet.
Saw him a few times.
He seemed to be bridging the gap between different types of music at that time....a wide variety of people loved his music......he was just bloody good is the bottom line.
In fact his whole band were razor sharp.

Godlike genius.
I met Rory in 72 when he played 5 nights at a small club in Atlanta. We were friends until he passed away. When I got pregnant I wanted to name our daughter Rory but that didn't happen, I don' think my husband didn't agree. When we were on the way to the hospital for her birth, they played Walk on Hot Coals on the radio. That was exactly how I felt and every time I hear this song I remember that experience.

My only complaint with all this Rory worship is it ignores how incredibly great the whole band is. Tight and telepathic.
