Night drive by Las Vegas with our nifty new Sony 8mm camcorder. Pls leave comments of places you recognize, about 2/3 of the sites here have since been demolished, but Circus and Ceasar's Palace are still there.

  • The Last Days of when Las Vegas was great...Glad you fllmed this!... And I'm sure you wish you'd taken more!.. Oh, I remember those bands...those hotels, ...ALL of it!... I lived in L.A. and used to come over often!...would usually stay in one of the smaller places like you did...

The traffic wasn't PACKED like today..nor were the crowds!..and it was just MORE FUN, anywhere you went!...

  • Does anyone remember the late night Lounge Bands that were popular in the mid to late 80's? I can't find anything about them online. Casinos like The Dunes, The Maxim and The California Hotel used to host these bands. I cannot find any historic websites online that gives any word of recognition to this.

  • Vegas was once a great place. This is how I remember my first trip to vegas when you got a prime rib dinner for 4.99 and it was good! The old school resturant with the high back booths. The music brings me back to riding around with my uncle back then. Thanks for sharing

  • They missed the trop...the desert inn....the frontier....the dunes...the marina....Ballys .....barbary coast.....the Hilton and the flamingo hlilton

  • Landmark was blown up in the movie Mars Attacks. The site is now a parking lot near the convention center. Stardust is now the site of a stalled resort. A friend of mine, who I'll be visiting in a couple weeks, is a native and lives near UNLV. He misses both of these places a lot.

  • nice video, the westward ho always gets left out, they were known for the foot long hot dogs for like 50cents? or a dollar??? great to see the good old days. I also stayed at the Rivera and westward ho. Fantastic video even tho you double taped over it lol
