Friends and colleagues of Kristian Digby have paid tribute to the late BBC presenter.

The 32-year-old, who hosted shows such as To Buy Or Not To Buy and That Gay Show, was found dead by paramedics at a flat in East London yesterday.

A BBC spokesperson told The Guardian: "Kristian was a much-loved and talented presenter for BBC Daytime. He brought a real sense of energy and warmth to all the shows he presented and will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with his family at this very difficult time."

Digby's agent and friend Jo Wander said: "I am devastated by the loss. He was a lovely guy and a very talented presenter and director. I will miss him hugely."

The post-mortem is believed to be scheduled for later today.

Tributes have also been pouring in on social networking sites such as Twitter, where Digby's fans have described themselves as "shocked"

Another star shines in the firmament but too soon! In every which way, Kristian was a beautiful person. It's hard to take the tragedy as a fact., impossible to take in! TB or NTB was made a joy when Kristian was presenting it. Such an intelligent, bright and happy 'star'. You WILL be missed. Deepest sympathy to your parents, family and friends. i didnt know him...just the programes he presented..but he had something which i liked and i was upset by his death and i will remember him as talented watchable and sadly gone way too soon...peace to his loved ones...paul from birkenhead..

Just watched the video a year after his death, so sad, still so moving, still such a brilliant smile! We have so many repeats on TV, why can't we have some repeats of Kristian? He used to make me laugh at his innocence in certain aspects. Bless him, RIP x

I just heard it today, im not from England. We where looking a show on a Dutch channel, wich was presented by him.

My father told me that he was no longer alive, i was shocked!

He looked to me as a friendley and funny man!

RIP Kristian, you will be missed!!
