@marinecope24 yeah i think you're right there's a slight difference in piston dimensions hence the lower compression. but why the whole bottom end you just need to replace the pistons everything else is the same apart from the oil feeds and returs as for the cylinder head a thicker gasket will do the job. i went for a full gte swap and have since learned it was a big mistake as the ge can handle the same torture with a few cheap mods espesially if doing the job yourself.

@SuperFred1991 um the gte has low comp pistons?? the ge has high comp so no they are not the same..the bottom end is different also which is why people who boost the GE like to swap GTE internals(pistons) for lower compression and some go as far as getting a GTE bottom end bc it is stronger(only needed for High HP ge's)

Even if it's a GE (non turbo) IT'S STILL a 2jz.

2JZ-GE or 2JZ-GTE. Same exact engine, but the turbo's.

Even though they did go "cheap" if you're gonna rebuild a 2jz for a single turbo, why not get the NA? Makes more sense to me anyway

@SuperFred1991 The "R34 GTR" was actually a GTT with a body kit. The computer was beeping and said on screen "WARNING: DANGER TO MANIFOLD". Then the passenger floor pan fell out. Don't even bother defending the realism of these movies.. haha
