Ask The Adobe Ones - Episode 13 -Dreamweaver Manhunt -- Now that Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 beta is out on Adobe Labs, a special Ask Force asks your help to find the guy who bought the first copy of Dreamweaver V1.0

Transcript:

On this special edition of Ask the Adobe Ones I would like to announce our first ever Dreamweaver manhunt.

So what exactly is the dream weaver manhunt? No it's not a speciality dating service. Sorry guys. This is no joke. It is a real search for a shady character that has haunted the dream weaver team for more than a decade! According to the legend, it all began at an event. It was no ordinary event. More than 10 years ago dream weaver was born. And as soon as it came out, a mysterious guy claimed the worlds first ever box of dream weaver box ever sold, posed for a picture and disappeared into the crowd never to be seen again. Since then dream weaver has come a long way. In fact you might have noticed the beta version of the new Dreamweaver CS4 out on Adobe Labs. But as for this mysterious guy nobody has a clue.

Is this just an old Macromedia urban legend or based on an actual incident? To get this straight I contacted the dream weaver team. After following numerous leads I finally managed to get Agent Voltmer to assign special agent Guerra to investigate further. After months of tireless detective work she was able to find eyewitnesses who were able to confirm the existance this mythical character.

According to Vetaran Macromedian, Vicrtor Grigorif, the crowds were waiting anxiously and the boxes finally arrived. But he wanted to make sure this sealed first batch was in good order. So he rudely interrupted a free hand demo and verified the disk was all good! The crowd applauded and out of nowhere a sneaky guy with a large smile grabbed the first box. An unknown photographer snapped a picture as he proudly displayed the dream weaver box and vanished. So the guy who bought the first dream weaver was here. Victor was probably witnessing his victory parade from here. And the unknown photographer took a picture from this angle while the first sniper was aiming from this direction. hold on a second. there was no sniper involved. Come on, we are trying to make this story credible. And no there was no ninja with poison darts hiding behind the director booth. Take him away.

So, do you think we should just take Victor's word for it? Perhaps we need more concrete evidence. Two months after our investigation began, I was eating an ice cream standing infront of a bank when I got the e-mail from agent Guerra, and she has found the infamous picture taken by the unknown photographer.

And here it is. This is the guy who bought the first copy of dream weaver - ever! Yet still we have no idea who he is and who he has become! ok enough with the evil sound effects. So we need your help to track him down. If you know any information about this guy or anybody who even remotely looks or acts like this guy, send in your tips to ask@adobe.com and if your information turns out to be useful to us, I will provide you with a classified gift item as a reward. And as for what we will do with the guy who bought the first copy of dream weaver? Well its a surprise. But don't worry we will treat him well. So stay alert. Try to spot this guy and you might even claim some Adobe goodies. Now that we are counting down for dream weaver CS4 the tenth version, this is the perfect time to watch out to see if this guy would emerge out of hiding to grab his copy of the latest dream weaver. Pass the word around. Help us find this guy.

I'll be back with more updates on this epic investigation along with our usual viewer requests next time. This is agent Kush, for Ask the Adobe ones. Over and out.
