Mini Slimline DirecTV HD Ka/Ku Satellite Dish

All DirecTV HD on a Phase III Ka/Ku Satellite Dish

I am sure someone has already done this...........

I modified a Triple DirecTV Ka/Ku LNB to fit on a DirecTV Phase III dish. I was amazed that I was getting GREAT signals on all three satellites The HD on 99 and 103w and the regular channels in SD on the 101w

I had to saw off the small tab on the LNB that only lets it be fitted on a Slimeline dish, I then simply installed it on Phase III dish

I have also done the same thing on a DirecTV AU9 dish, added the Triple Ka/Ku

Whoops forgot to mention "The trick" here.

Skew the dish as if it were a Slimline and not an actual Phase III

e.g. The skew for a Pahse III here is 93 deg. But the Skew for a Slimline is actually 82 deg. So this Phase III is set to 82 deg Skew.
