Hey Cliff, the YouTube partners link is geared for independent content providers like yourself. I've also worked with YouTube as a producer on national ad campaigns and found they provide yet another level of support (ie custom branding, functionality, analytics) for brands that commit to at least a $100k media buy to drive traffic. Just an FYI on how they work, I agree, it'd be great to have a little more custom control over how our content is consumed. | @shannonswenson

I should have just posted the requirements for becoming a partner:
You create original videos suitable for online streaming.
You own or have express permission to use and monetize all audio and video content that you upload—no exceptions.
You regularly upload videos that are viewed by thousands of YouTube users, or you publish popular or commercially successful videos in other ways (such as DVDs sold online).

Okay, so I just tried out redoing my thumbnail and put it exactly where I calculated with the forumla provided. That didn't work.
I noticed from the current thumbnail that it was a few seconds ahead... Without adjusting the length of the video, I found that exact spot and put the thumbnail image in the exact spot for three seconds just to be safe. It still ending up picking it up just after the image I selected went away.
I give up for now. spent way too much time on it today.

Thanks for the formula. I HATE MATH, but I think I'm going to see if I can manage to add a formula in Google Spreadsheets that I can use to plug in the number of mins and seconds and then calculate those time stamps and then I will go in and recompress the Equipment Page Video as this is most important to me.
