I cry myself to sleep sometimes listening to this song. I feel just like she does in these lyrics, no one ever has been there for me, when I hear Gnarles Barkleys part it makes me yearn to have had a male role model in my life that pushed me to succeed, but all I ever had was a dad who doesn't give a fuck about me and a mom who's too wrapped up in her own shit. All I've ever felt like was a total loser with nothing special or important about me. Always in the background, looked over, n rejected
