It Ends Tonight Chapter 2.

Chapter 2.
Movement before the lens brought Renee back to the present. She looked into the sniper, hoping that it was him so she could be finished with this job, something about it made her uneasy. It was him! Aiming the loaded gun perfectly, she pulled the trigger back slightly, the bullet was ready to go flying into his curly little head, killing him instantly. Just as she was about to pull the trigger back completely and shoot, finishing the job, she heard a sound behind her. Renee let go of the trigger but let her left point finger hover over it. She didn't move, didn't even dare to breath. Had someone from the hotel seen her on top of the church roof, the building she was on since it was opposite of the hotel, and called the cops? Or maybe it was just a rat? The thoughts ran through her head as she uneasily looked around her. There was nothing different. Content with the quick look around, Renee looked back into the sniper riffle.

"Fuck," she muttered when she saw that the target, aka Nick Jonas, had moved out of view. She quickly checked her wrist watch- 5:45 p. m. The schedule in the folder said that on this Saturday at 6 p..m. the 'Jonas Brothers' had a concert. She scoffed, Jonas Brothers. She had to do research about them, about Nick, to learn more about the target, it wasn't exactly necessary, but she did it every time, made her feel more easy. "How anyone can like them is beyond me," she thought, rolling her eyes. They weren't really her 'style' or even close to it. They were too ... she couldn't think of one singular name, even then when she was listening to their music. Yes, listening. Renee always prided herself on being prepared to do anything for a job. She didn't LIKE what she did, but she was doing it and if she was doing something, she was going to do it right. "Perfect, a little farther..." she said under her breath as she watched anxiously through the window. The boy, Jonas as she called him, walked closer to the window, one step farther and she had him. Squeezing down her finger some, ready for that step, she braised herself for the jolt of the gun.


"Whoa! What are you doing?!?!?" A startled voice suddenly called out, making her lose her sight on Jonas. She let off the trigger and held out the gun, showing whoever caught her that she wasn't going to shoot. With a breath she turned, ready for anything. Only, Renee wasn't ready for this.
Before her was the target's brother. Kevi- no! Joe? She couldn't think straight, her breath caught in her throat, and she felt lightheaded.

Never before had she felt like this. "What is this feeling?" She wondered. "Surely it was just the rush of being caught," Renee couldn't be sure though, since she had never been caught before. She could see confusion, even a little fear, in the boy's brown eyes. Those eyes, so beautiful, were drawing her in and she could not tear her gaze away. An onlooker would think that with the way they were staring at each other they were engaged in a staring contest. Neither teen moved a muscle. Renee was standing, her back to the edge, alert. Peering at her with wide eyes, Joe, for now she remembered his name, stood on the top step of the stairwell that went from the basement of the church to the roof. The teen heart throb's breathing was loud, raspy, while the hit man's- woman's rather- breath couldn't been heard, it was as though she wasn't even breathing.

"P--p-put down the gun," he stuttered, not looking away from her eyes.

"Good," she thought, "he is afraid. I have the power here." Aloud she said, "sure, okay..." Renee slowly crouched, placing the gun gently on the ground. Without leaving his gaze, she stood back up and took a step toward him. The intruder flinched, but did not leave his spot. Slowly she took another step toward him while putting her hand on the knife hanging off her belt over her hip. Before he even knew what was beginning to happen, Renee had Joe up against the wall, the sharp knife pressed to his neck, drawing just a little blood. Now, both were breathing heavily, gazing into each other's eyes, and wondering what was to happen next.
