Ever wonder about the origins of that sound clip at the beginning of The Smiths' "The Queen Is Dead"? The movie is called The L-Shaped Room. It was directed by Bryan Forbes of Stepford Wives fame.

  • Thank you so much for doing this, one of my favorite songs with the full sample at the beginning and footage of the film, one wonders if Morrissey himself pops in to watch this version occassionally. :)

  • I'm sure that he does. He's a big movie fan.

    Thanks for posting! :o)

  • Take me back to dear old Blighty!

Put me on the train for London town!

    Take me over there,

    Drop me ANYWHERE,

Liverpool, Leeds, or Birmingham, well, I don't care!

  • Great mash-up!

  • Thanks! Have you seen my other ones? Also, I'll be posting more in the near future, time permitting.
