Ok, well lets agree to disagree then. Wonka was not justified. period. he was not justified in not giving the chocoloate to charlie even though he PROMISED it, due to some stupid ass reason for "stealing fizzy lifting drinks."

Well they were strictly warned in foreshadowing not to do such a thing. Wonka was definitely justified. But as the movie eventually made clear, it was all just a smoke screen for the real issue, which was the gobstopper - a test of trustworthiness. All in all, I do agree that people have an unhealthy grip on their material possessions at the expense of others. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of the needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

also, i love capitalism and private property just as much as anyone else. All im saying is that just because you own a building or a house does not mean that you get to control how people behave. How is that any different from what the government does? If you claim that you have to follow peoples rules when you are in their house or building, no matter how unreasonable or oppressive it may seem, then why not follow the government's laws? what's the difference? Its still oppression.

no i'm not against private property or capitalism, i said that out of spite.All im saying is that charlie did not deserve to not get the chocolate, even though wonka ended up giving it to him anyway. All im saying is that wonka had the right to yell at him, but just because a poor kid decides to experiment with something doesnt mean that he is doing something illegal, and i dont think he didnt deserve to get the chocolate.
