I had to rework it a little because the quality is so bad having had the original mono soundtrack VHS tape for 30 years..! I've added the track from the Motown Disco c.d. that was released a few years back. Another one for you to enjoy...

I read on Wikipedia that the first recording of this music was with Ms. Birdsong... but was unreleased... I would like to listen this version!! Someone knows where we can find it?????

Well I've heard it. Cindy has a copy. She went into the studio after the album was completed and put her lead vocal on a couple more tracks. All the tracks sounded good (she played them to me when she was here in London promoting 'Dancing Room') but with a softer feel because Cindy's voice is very different to Susaye's.

Wow. Each of these ladies has something special. Mary's soft beauty and warm alto. The other lady's sophisticated elegance and cool mezzo. And that spitfire soprano who seems to come alive in front of the camera. So watchable and this track is killer. Terrific vocals and visuals.

Lovely vocal by Susaye. I can hear Scherrie doing a great job in my mind, but not Cindy. Let's hope both see the light on 'The Supremes: The Scherrie Payne Years' collection which has been promised as a follow up to 'The Jean Terrell Years' cd.

my cousin an I was in Brooklyn staying at his dads for 2 weeks during the summer and labor day block paa=rties were everywhere. we started on sumner ave. and stopped at a lot of block parties. we got to dekalb and that was the 1 this was playing and thats when I learned how to hustle tango ropes lol

@VictorEmmanuell yes, the cd version ,which will include the original version m,ixed by Russ Turrana and the offoical mix released in 1976 are coming out on may 17[ 3 cd set ]....will include all the alternate versions and various leads

okay, I'm gonna put it out there- Mary TOWERED over Scherrie and Susaye, physically...odd, considering Mary really isn't all that tall. They just both happened to be two sort gals...and it's REALLY pronounced on the back of the last album...

I've always thought that this song - fabulous as it is - was underwritten lyrically. It needed an extra verse!
