i don't want to insult anyone here, but everybody uses the past as an excuse for what they do: the jews and WW2 for example (and i'm not a racist, it's just an example).
moreover, black people don't use the past, but the present, racism still exists among the world, so they have to fight against it like all people of colours who are in a occidental country, or occidental people when they live abroad.
(i don't know if that was clear, but it's what i think )
