In a cold rock out in the space, ancient dark deity observes the Earth as it is today... Planning his return. Comment or like if you like what you see.

The plot leaves much to the imagination of the viewer. It is up to you to decide from which pantheon of gods is this deity from if he is a god at all. Perhaps he is but a dark wizard or alien lifeform. Not to mention what might motivate him.

Once again experimenting with few techniques I have not tried before. For a while I've been wanting to do something that has Andrew Kramer's Earth Zoom used in it (I simply found it very clever trick) and had few other miscellanious vfx ideas in my mind, so I whipped up the idea of a Dark God blasting his way through the atmosphere in a tower of smoke (bit like Death Eaters apparition from Harry Potter films). The idea must have been influenced by band called Pagan Altar, which I have been listening to recently. The location of landing is somewhere in Corsica, chosen pretty randomly.

The costume of "Dark God" is simply Bundeswehr snowcloak dyed brown and after that digitally recolored much darker. Digital recoloring was one of the things I was interested in doing, hence the blueish skin, yellowish teeth and altered cloak (I bet it would have been much easier to just really dye it in real life...). The same cloak was used in Jedi Knight, Exile, it is from military surplus store Varusteleka Oy.

The girl seen wondering the sudden darkness is rarely seen infront of the camera as she often is the one operating it. Decided it was time to bring her front once again.

Shot with Samsung HMX-H200

As a statement, I for one strongly support the idea of extending the fair use of copyrighted music to non-profit short films. I don't really see why one should pay some $3000 in copyright payments when the project itself is non-profit and zero budget.
