Porter loved her. She was an extremely prepared, polished and graceful performer. Her kind of subtle, dry comedy is the most difficult to bring off but she was a natural at it. She was not a typical beauty but indeed--look close--is a beauty and the camera loved her (she didn't have a bad angle). As a singer she was flawless. She was enormously popular.

You should check out a clip on here called "Doctor, Lawyer, Indian Chief" Betty actually channels Virginia, there is no mistaking it too:)
