RB5 for 3000 my bollocks

I traded my 06' WRX in for a new BMW 135i. Bought the WRX new and trashed it.
The dealer didn't test drive the WRX before making me an offer thank god. It needed a new 4th gear synchro/blocker ring as it grinded no matter what fluid was in the transmission and it
started using oil at 65K miles. I added half a pint of 5W40 Rotella every other fill up.

Actually only worth it with less than 50,000 miles on the clock . . . any more and welcome to the money pit of pain! . . wheel bearings . . clutch . . electrics . . 4wheel alignment . . steering . . . brakes . . . if you can find a straight one for that price good luck . . hens teeth are actually found in greater quantity

@MrMrdavehawkeye That's what I couldn't work out. I've never actually seen one on the road yet! 3000 is outrageous, maybe add another 10,000 to that. Excellent cars but expensive to insure and keep running. I wouldn't change the oil at 3000miles, I would need it done every other month!!! It would ned to be a weekend car maybe on classic insurance, with a tracker and multiple alarms and immobilisers.

I love this era subaru shape yet I am far too afraid of buying a thrashed lemon.

You got to have a mental condition to give away an RB5 impreza. It got sold cheaper than the three track day sedans that got tested in Top Gear (the 190 Cosworth, the M3 Sedan and the Sapphire Cosworth)

a mint RB5 give away...damn :(

@2slovak0 yeah, but on the other hand, you can buy a 6L V8 and run it for peanuts. Petrol in the UK retails for over 2 dollars per litre these days..
thats an rb5 no way would someone be so stupid as to sell that for 3000 there pretty rare.

I've seen this before, but to GIVE away an RB5. Why would you give such a rare thing to a "lucky winnar."
This is a great car, loads of fun, but this car is a legacy.
