From the 1987 acclaimed documentary made by Ninoy's friend and colleague, the late Teodoro C. Benigno. This is a scaled-down version of the hour-long special that we normally see on TV during Ninoy's death anniversary.

Directed by Maria Montelibano, written by Teddy Benigno and narrated by the late Jose Mari Velez.

As we celebrate the 26th year of his martyrdom, let us remember him as a person who firmly believed that "the Filipino IS worth dying for!"

@NinoyAquinoTV IBC 13 just showed a Filipino version of this documentary. May I ask whether this one (English) or the Filipino version came first?

@emir0721 They're actually shot at the same time in 1987. It's just that the English version gets to be shown more often; especially during the Cory and Ramos years.

I've read the article between Rizal and Ninoy, though they lived a century apart and have many differences, they also share uncanny similarities. Pareho silang adelantado na sa maiksing panahon nila sa mundo sobrang dami na nilang nagawa. They're both eloquent speakers, they used their extraordinary and superior intellects to fight rulers that oppress the Filipinos and they both chose to return to the country knowing that they will both face imminent death.

Ninoy was right when he said what he has is an indomitable spirit that will never die. He lives on everytime a freedom loving Filipino says no to tyranny and corruption. Yes, he did leave us with two letters and a word N - O, NO.
