@aidahwedo No, for 30 years Haiti was a prosperous Black owned Country and that surely didn't sit well with the Racists who recently allowed blacks to sit anywhere in a public bus and attend the same school as their children. Get the Fuck outta here with your "I come to save the world American attitude". While Macoutes were in Haiti, blacks were still being beaten and spit on in the U.S., the so called Socialist and greatest country in the world.
Jean Claude Duvalier was a very young man when he took over after his Dad passed away. As it stated there, the army was already turning against the Duvalier family of course with the help of overseas, but they are not going to mention that part. Haitians loved Duvalier the Father, He never mistreated them as such. He was a great Dictator who loved his country and his people, unlike the Son and his entourage. The son got scared and started to mistreat the people. The U.S. couldn't be happier.
i recently been to Haiti at my cousin wedding Jean-Claude Duvalier and his wife was present at the wedding it was in petionville one of the wealthier parts of Haiti
Testimony of Evans Paul: "Therefore, we want the young to know that a dictatorship is a very bad thing."
Watch on YouTube: "Evans Paul's response to Duvalier's return"
Testimony of Lilianne Pierre Paul: "And then, you know… they evacuated all the problems there was under Duvalier. They banalized this terrorist regime. A terrorist regime, which reigned in Haiti for 30 years."

@timaliceetbouqui That's my point. The accusations against him doesn't mean there all true. Yes, Im sure he made some mistakes, but lets remember this: Politics is a dirty game and his oppositions are playing that game very well I'm sure. As you said "He stayed away from Haiti for 25 years and it has gotten worse." Who is to blame for that? You can't blame Duvalier bc he has been away for 25 years.
@silentfades I will always remain proud of being haitan, you are entitled to your own opinion.I am holding my head up high and not in shame.what do you rally know about haiti?
@samirbalde OK guys stop the insults. What I want to know is this: Is Haiti a better country TODAY then when J-C Duvalier was President. For a YES or NO answer, I want to know WHY!!! BTW, Duvalier isn't stupid. He's had 25 years to prepare his comeback to Haiti and he came back with a plan. The recent accusations against him don't make me feel better. It even scares me!!!
