austin gp (f1) track study for future projects.

This is an overlay visualizing track layout on terrain. This doesn't take into consideration for "cut and "fill" to make track transitions and surface for high rates of speed in certain areas.

There is a beta out on rFactor..typical Tilke design..a bit of everything. The first blind corners after the looooong straight is pretty cool.

@Somai82 real basic I noticed, not much of an elevation change and scenery is over the top. Seems person that made the track doesn't know much about the landscape there at the track site or seen the master plan.

When did this become a discussion board on who is to blame for the race not being at Indy or any other place? I removed my comment as well since I started to partake in that conversation. Lets keep this light. Keep the discussions and personal opinions to the forums :) This was meant more as a visual aid then a discussion board when I made this video; which reminds me, wouldn't hurt to do some updating I suppose :)

@vandetta13: I'm with ya on that one! I hope we see this track in the GT series. I doubt it will be available for GT6 though! However there's some people making the track for r-factor and mainly for the F1 mods. I'd like to race this with some "Sports car" series cars from 80's & 90's WSC, ALMS, and current FIA GT series!

@rpablom18 ...it also incorporates a Maggots Becketts type section from Silverstone and the infield "stadium" section from Hockenheim. I can't wait. When tickets are made available, I'm there!

Can't wait for this Grand Prix, its going to be quality. Hopefully going to the states next year to watch it. Looks like it could be second Tilke circuit to be any good (after India) with the remake of Silverstone's Becketts complex, with some extra corners at the end. A remake of Istanbul's Turn 8 (the 4 fast left handers) and it looks like they could be right handers instead. Also got Hockenheim's infield stadium section I CANT WAIT

A bit of Istanbul alright, others no man, look at this again this track was clearly inspired by the best track in the world Suzuka!!!! This layout is epic, Tilke finally got this right!!!
