I am hooked on Celebrity Rehab. I've become so interested in the struggle of these people. Most of them are good people who got a very rough start in life and are predispositioned to addiction. I want to see them "win". I do think it's a valuable insight into just what a battle addiction is.

Drew's a bit overboard with his theory of addiction. That Keri Ann, for example, is obviously either bi-polar, has a personality disorder or perhaps both, and yet he continually filters all her aggressive behavior and her fights with staff as being a consequence of her addiction/withdrawal. Anyone who watches this show for more than ten minutes can see that she has other issues, severe ones. Rehabs that use that disease model of addiction all tend to overlook the psychiatric stuff.
