Would you use Cubase as main sequencer for live work (XS being main instrument ie one man band) or would you stick with internal sequencer? I will be using samples of backing vocals mainly @ 44k, how quick is XS at calling up a new song that includes samples? Thank you!
Cubase is not meant to be used in live situations, use the internal sequencer. You have the performance mode that let you have 4 voices of 8 elements each with their own independent arppegiator. Or you can use the song mode, up to 16 tracks, use them.
The WAV samples are loaded when you turn on the XS so using them in a new song is instant (unless you decide to load them at this specific time).
If you prefer acoustic sounds such as piano, guitar, bass, strings, brass & woodwinds: you should go with the Motif XS. If you prefer electronic sounds (synths, keys, pads, sfx, leads, electric guitar, etc.), you should go with the M3. It's just a matter of which one sounds the best to you, go try both at your local music store.
Hi There!
Great Job on the keyboard. I play bass and was wondering if I could connect my bass directly into XS and record audio?
Thanks!

Yes, the XS has a sampler so you can connect your guitar, bass or mic directly and record the WAV to the sequencer.
