Darren has not been taught or coaxed to wave. Its something he developed over the years to ensure the visitors feed him before the other goats in his paddock. It has become more pronounced as it has become more successful. He's just a very boistrous goat.

All these people saying "he knows if he waves he gets food" yep, I I got a free beer each time i waved, I'd wave till my arm fell off (the non-drinking arm).

@Purly hes an anglo nubian X Saanen, yes the pygmy goats "paw" to get food but this is wave not a paw trough the fence he always gets up on the fence and waves

That doesn't look like waving. It looks like he's trying to claw at their faces. Lots of animals do that when you take the piss out of them

To you it might not look like a wave but other people seem to think so seeing as it's had a lot of publicity lately and it's been aired on different TV stations.
Asking a goat to wave is hardly taking the piss out of him.
