Sony DCR HC51 Camcorder

a look at the 2008 Sony DCR-HC51 Handycam i bought recently. It's currently Sony's base model miniDV camcorder and costs around 150GBP. (AT TIME OF REVIEW)
For this price region of camcorder it really is, surprisingly, very good indeed...
It's a no frills model, but has a fair degree of manual control too. The 40x optical zoom was the main draw for me and i bought it really to compliment my Panasonic FZ18. (which incidently shot the first part of this vid)
The LCD is a 'touchscreen' for playback & manipulation of the camera. The tapes load from the top, essential when it's tripod mounted.

a definate 10/10 vote from me to Sony on this one..

(In the USA this camera is called the DCR-HC52)
