@Bowenwww You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but to say that "Ryan Adams is a god compared to this and that he is on a whole different level" is a bit of a stretch. Ryan Adams is good musician but I would not say he's a God-Like musician, to me that is reserved for very very special people both alive and dead. I really like Jay's version of this song and there is a very real chance that one day he may be just as talented if he is not already. Just my 2cents.
