Ruckus 140 MIle Ride Richmond to Williamsburg VA loop

On May 1st 2010, a group of 13 Ruckus Riders met up in Richmond VA organized through TotalRuckus. It was a 140 Mile loop through some amazing open roads hitting speeds of nearly 50MPH (yes, believe it or not) the ride started at 1130am & we got back to Richmond about 530pm. A few stops along the way & a Ferry Ride to get to Williamsburg. Excellent day out. We are all looking forward to the next big ride. I have been a motorcyclist for 15 years now, currently owning a Buell XB12X, but I have the most fun on my Honda Ruckus!

The video/photos was shot using a Gopro HDhero and the high quality photos shot using a Canon SX20is. The gopro was used mounted on the tail of the Ruckus & on the return trip Helmet mounted. I edited the video using a macbook pro 2.4ghz & iMovie 6.0.4 (the last good imovie apple made) photos where edited using photoshop.

My Ruckus has the following mods. Polini Variator with Dr. Pulley 6Gram Sliders, Polini Kevlar Belt, Dr. Pulley HIT Racing Clutch with the Jog Pulley, BattleScooter Red Pulley Spring & the magic (spacer) Lightened Flywheel, Dynatek CDI (9500RPM from 8800RPM) , DIO front Forks & Daytona Rear shock! (way too much money spent on a 49cc scoot, but the bike is good fun to ride!)

how much faster will a honda ruckus go with a after market exhaust and cdi and variator

@yzrider102 DO NOT CHANGE THE EXHAUST! THe ruckus is actually slower and less torque with aftermarket exhausts.. the intake/carb/valves are just too small. Variator and CDI depending on the person & lots of tuning, can get upwards of 5-7MPH top speed :-)

Is the beginning with the pictures of the ruck's supposed to be posterized or rather unclear? Other wise a great vid. thanks for the upload

@samiam2714 I used the posterize effect on all the still photos... call it artistic choice, some like it some dont, I wanted to do something different to break up the video :-)

Awsome! The five and dime ride is on of my favorites!! great loop for a scenic ride through Virginia Plantations. I bet you gys turned some heads! I could imagine coming up on you guys on my Hayabusa. loked like fun!

Hey I was wondering what is the best CDI you can get and Variator, I was thinking about the Polini Variator but Im not sure about the CDI. Also how fast do you think these two mods would do w/ a stock and does the CDI have any affect on engines lifetime?
